I am still trying to improve how I handle conflicts. I will "confess" that I don't always use my own theories. I really believe in my theories, though, and when I use them or apply them things seem to go better.

Last night I had a conflict with someone working at this hostel (Maleku in Costa Rica). I verbally attacked her and threatned her (by saying I would talk to the owner in the morning and ask for my money back if she didn't call him now).

I didn't try to understand her. I didn't apply Stephen Covey's "Third Alternative" ideas. I didn't try to apply Marshall rosenbergs "Nonviolent Communication" ideas.
