Hugging in School

Here are pics of students in a school in Uruguay. One of the directors was watching at the time. I told him I wanted to take the photo of the two hugging because this would be against the rules in the "land of the free". He was shocked to hear this. Then the others wanted to have their picture taken, too.

I asked the huggers if they were boyfriend/girlfriend and they said no, just friends, which I believe and the other students confirmed.

If everyone had friends like this at school, would not be school shootings?
