Student Police in Cajamarca
As I was walking near the hot springs which are popular with the tourists in Cajamarca, or actually just outside of Cajamarca in a small city called Baņos, I saw these soldiers getting out of trucks. I looked around and could tell there was going to be another of the many ceremonies involving soldiers and students.
Below are more pictures of the ceremony, in which they line the student police up with the military soldiers. By the way, in my original file on the student police in Peru I wrote that when I looked at the students with the special cords on their uniforms, I thought they looked like student police, but here in Cajamarca was the firsr time I actually saw a flag saying "POLICIA ESCOLAR" All the students in the pic are holding sticks, just as the soliders hold rifles.
