Crystal first contacted EQI in September of 2005. She was already self-harming at that time. She has tried to kill herself several times. She was sent to a treatment center when she was 14. She says that staying there traumatized her. Over the years we have tried to give her all the support we can from a distance. She has also helped many other teens with her understanding and caring. She now helps organize the chat support group and in the future she would like to work as a full-time volunteer with EQI.
