The Department of Homeland Security has made news in the past few
weeks with the revelations that they have purchased up to 650
million rounds of .40 caliber hollow point ammunition.
Now, despite ignoring requests as to why they need that much
ammo, they have moved forward and purchased an unknown amount of
bullet resistant booths to possibly be stationed at unannounced
checkpoints throughout the country.

Shelters Direct provided the Department of Homeland Security with
this 4×13 Steel UL 752 Level 3 Bullet Resistant Booth.
This guard building features a standing seam hip roof, a
thru-wall HVAC unit, (2) UL 752 BR Level 3 sliding doors, UL 752
Bullet Resistant Level 3 glass and a Low]E coating.
These booths seem destined to be used at checkpoints throughout
the country as DHS and other government agencies continue their
full scale takeover of America.
As we have heavily reported in the last few weeks, numerous
government agencies have went on an ammo buying spree, with the
total amount reaching well over 700 million rounds.
“In the last three years numerous domestic US government
agencies have ordered a total of over 750 million rounds of .40
caliber ammunition.
That’s right, multiple government agencies that specifically
operate primary inside the United States have gone on a literal
ammunition spending spree in preparation for what they must
believe will be some sort of violent event.”
Whether it be 140 million packets of emergency food, detention
centers in all 50 states, 750 million rounds of ammo, or numerous
bullet resistant checkpoint booths, the Department of Homeland
Security is clearly gearing up for something.

Who is afraid of who? 750 million rounds, bullet resistence

populace. Is that not hte purpose of the Second amendment? Level
III resistent glass starts to fail after a few hits with a 7.62

when you went to Eastern Europe 15 years ago the dogs and full
auto weapons made you feel like a war could erupt at anytime. Now
they do it here. We have plenty of police and a pistol will do
the job. This is a warning to anyone who read this…Get out
of the city or look for things like a lot of military machinery
like tanks and a lot of air traffic the day before. They might
blow up a baseball stadium or a football stadium this Fall. So it
is important to check with these dissidents and learn when a lot
of military vehicles are being moved, because at that point it
could be a day or a month, but as soon as you hear something has
been blown up I would then immediately get out of the city just
to see what happens. Because they’ll cut people off and I’m
sure they’ll do it to people trying to exit these high
population areas.
Myself I’m going to be in the marsh probably catching fish
or crabs the day after. I have no cities less than two hours
away. I will retreat to my hunting lodge and will probably call
it home for a couple years surrounded by fish, oysters, crabs,
muskrats, deer and nutria. I feel sorry for people who haven’t
prepared and live in the cities. What will you eat when the
grocery stores have no food?

We are getting what we deserve for destroying Germany. Our
country has gone down hill more all the time. But what’s
different now is they hired 900,000 more federal agents and we
just don’t have ten years. It might not happen till the
Spring or Fall of next year, but because this is an election year

First off, DHS has awarded a contract to ATK to purchase up to
450 million rounds of ammo over 4 years. I would venture a guess
that about 1/2 of that is for training and periodic
qualifications for all of the agents under DHS (Secret Service,
ICE, Customs &Border Patrol, Coast Guard, FEMA, etc.). When I
go to the range to practice, I’ll typically shoot 100 to 200
rounds. Let’s use the high side at 200 rounds. That’s
400 rounds per agent per month. That’s nearly 20,000 rounds
per agent over 4 years (19,200). That doesn’t include actual
qualifications. So, if we’ve got 10,000 agents between all
those agencies, 192 million of those rounds will be used just for
practice shooting over 4 years. That’s almost 1/2 of it
right there.
Now, we all know how government acquisitions work. They determine
how much they need for a specific purpose and double or triple
that amount to account for “shrinkage” (all those USGI
MRE’s for sale on craigslist are a fine example).
This article serves no good by inflating the number from 450
million to 650 million. It also is a distortion to say that DHS
has purchased 650 million rounds, when in reality DHS has let out
a contract to purchase up to 450 million rounds. Purchased
implies the ammo has been delivered, when in reality it hasn’t
even been manufactured yet and the actual amount delivered may in
the end be substantially smaller than the amount contracted for.
While I am no DHS cheerleader, distorting the facts does not
serve our side of this argument, as it only leaves openings for
our opponents to attack us on the facts.

I have contracted for government agencies for almost ten years
now, and I can tell you with 100% certainty that there isn’t
one agent that spends that much time on the range. At best they
conduct a qualification course, consisting of 50 rounds per man,
once a quarter. Plus, you also fail to take into account the cost
that would be incurred by tax payers to send 10,000 agents to the
range once a month. Government employee’s don’t do
anything for free, and to shoot 200 rounds a month would cost at
least 2 hours of overtime per man, (and that’s if they don’t
pad the numbers by including time it takes to drive to and from
the range). Wether they are “gearing up for something”
or just spending tax dollars to avoid cuts to their budget I can
not say… But it is absurd to believe that the government is
putting this much time and effort into “trainning”
these agents.

Another aspect most seem to miss here is that .40 S&W is
handgun round. If DHS is afraid of a armed civilian uprising,
they’ll need rifle ammo to suppress it. Handgun ammo is
generally not lethal to all but the cheapest kevlar protection
garments, whereas rifle bullets are lethal to all but the very
best body armor (ceramic plates, etc.). If the government comes
for the citizens, they won’t do it with handguns.

I’ve made an 8 barrel ten gauge battery. It goes under the
hood. I feel when you pull up to these checkpoints and you got
weapons and they’re goig ot search your vehicle you might as
well give them some lead. I want to see something without holes
in it after I give them 8 barrels of buck shot and hundreds of
lead pellets. Not much could compare. All you need is stainless
pipe or heavy gauge metal pipe that a 10 gauge will slide into. I
made it so one hammer blow on the metal shaft sends all rounds at
once. I suggest others do the same it. If you think this isn’t
serious you better guess again. Of course I had read about this
for 15 years and I didn’t start to prepare until after 9/11

It doesn’t surprise me. Part of the Ohama health care bill
calls for the creation of a “Civilian Police Force”
that is administered under the direction of the President and
will have “more authority” than the police departments.
Most don’t know that is in the Obama health care bill.
Hopefully it will be struck down in June. Either way, the

DHS includes the Secret Service, Coast Guard and US Customs &
Border Patrol and the National Protection & Programs
Directorate’s Federal Protective Service (FPS).
The ammo procurement over a 5 year period is in part explainable
by annual training and qualification requirements for these
services. Coast Guard and Border Patrol standard side arms both
use .40 cal S&W rounds as does Border Patrol’s standard
SMG. DEA (under DOJ) is also standardized on .40 cal S&W
rounds for standard issue side arms.
One active threat these agencies are fighting is the effect of
the slide of Mexico downward towards narco-state/failed state
status. There are reportedly 130,000 members of drug cartel
militias fighting the 192,000 man Mexican army and local Mexican
law enforcement across the border with over 30,000 casualties and
the government forces are losing. The Texas and Arizona National
Guard units number less than 35,000 and much of this force is
deployed to the Middle East. Mexican President Calderon’s
term expires in Dec. It is entirely plausible that the next
government could loose what semblance of control is left or that
the military takes over- much more plausible for that to happen
in Mexico than here. A sovereign debt or banking crisis could
also take that government down with weapons falling into the
hands of the cartels and guerrillas. Any of these scenarios could
result in a significant escalation of the threat to our border
states and/or escalation of the drug wars on this side of the
border. As citizens, we would rightly be outraged if this were to
happen and our Coast Guard, Border and other forces were
under-prepared.
FPS has responsibility for some 9,000 federal buildings and
courthouses and another agency within DHS is responsible for
protection at national security events- everything from the
political conventions this year to the SuperBowl and World
Series. 700 portable bullet-proof enclosures to protect that many
buildings and external events doesn’t seem over the top.
Of course, I could be wrong and everything said on this and other
sites about these measures being directed at citizens and

Yes…and you have seen and read the DOD questionnaire that
was distributed to the different branches of the military asking
the lower rank General Issue Cannon Fodder plebs if they would be
willing to open fire upon U.S. citizens haven’t you? It may

sad…but awake. The really sad thing is, it’s true,

When it does happen? it will be a baptizing for the men in black.
There are a lot of veterans who will not stand for it. Many have
lived good lives as have I and my wife have. Many are 40+ and are
ready to defend this once great nation and still hold to the Oath
they took FOREIGN & DOMESTIC. If it comes down to it I plan
(hope) to be able to get at least 10 (20) of them first. The old
saying bring plenty of Body Bags and a weeks worth of food
applies.
