Page 1 Trip to Matucana p 3 Saw this wall and it reminded me of Kuelap Then talked to the guys building it. It took them about a month they said. They are going to buid a house on top. They got the rocks for free from the site where they just built a new bridge. andy21_7 on the right said he has a sobrina studying english in chosica. As we were talking a train went by and they showed me how it goes in a tunnel makes a big u turn under the mountain then comes out much lower. Here it is just going in the tunnel. They said it stays in the tunnel for three minutes. The next pic shows where it comes out but you can't see the train it is so far away.

Milagros, Maribel, yerlis, tania, ruth Ruth told me there was a half crazy teacher in her school that would scream at the kid and the mothers all complained and they fired her. Her name was Maria. Miguel Grau in Matucana. Ruth is very smart. Twice she said something which her sister didn't like. It sounded like she was satying something that was too true. She looked sad when we were talking about kids not having fathers. She doesn't know her father. They are not sure what happened. If he was killed by the terrorists or if he just left and never came back. Maribel is also smart. She works for a lawyer. Gets paid 700 soles each month. Thinks that is very low. She pays 100 soles per month to go to Chosica every day. Yerlis listening to "Imagine" by John Lennon. Got on a bus for a while but had to stand and couldn't see much so I got off near this railroad bridge. One thing I like about it here is it is easy to get rides. You just hold your hand out and the buses stop. And lots of times cars or trucks will stop. I've never heard of anyone having a problem hitchiking here. This house has no windows on the front and only one in the back, even though it has a beautiful view. They just don't appreciate nature here. The next pics show what their back yard looks like, but they have no patio, to balcony, no tables outside. Nothing.
In the front of the bus, working on my computer, processing the pics, going past the main plaza in Chosica, an hour from Lima. It costs about 60 cents to go on the bus for an hour! Going past a country club. There was also a special country club type place for lawyers. On bus met I started talking to a guy and he turned out to be a school director in Ricardo Palma. So I asked if I could come visit the English class and he said sure. So now, after being gone just two days I have met lots of people and have lots of ideas. |
