Life in Peru
Here are a few more pics of our life in Peru
Me washing my hair. I cut the top off of the soda bottle, hook a wire to it and then hang it. Then fill it with hot water from the hose which had been laying in the sun. It was nice and hot! I just unscrew the cap a little when I want water and then close it when I am not using it to conserve the water. I can wash my hair with just one bottle full of water. But if I have a lot available, I use two. Two is plenty to wash and rinse.

Notice the doors in the background. They are for the bathrooms. Imagine me standing up straight. You can tell my head is higher than the bathroom doors. I always have to duck to go in and out. There are a lot of doors like that here. Sometimes I forget to duck. And sometimes I say a bad word!
The hot water heating system....

Canta
Jerren took this pic of the town, Canta, from his hostal window

Later he saw two guys fighting in the street. He didn't get a pic of that but he got one of the crowd following along to watch. He had the same thought I did when I first saw something like this in Peru. He said "Instead of running after to stop the fight, they run after to watch it."
