Monique

Introduction

Monique is the attorney who represented Ocean's father. Ocean is a suicidal 17 year old who was helping me with the other suicidal and self-harming teens in our online support group. She told me she was "terrified" of her father. Her father found some of our conversations and went to the police but they evidently told him Ocean and I weren't doing anything illegal, so he hired Monique to get a restraining order stopping me from talking to Ocean. She was able to convince a judge that what Ocean and I were doing was somehow how more dangerous to Ocean than having Ocean kill herself, and he signed the protection order.

I wrote her this letter several months ago, but she has never responded. In the letter I asked her, for example, if she had ever Ocean, and if she thought Ocean's feelings were important or even relevant. And I asked her what Ocean's father was so afraid of.

I still am wondering about the answers to my questions. That is why I am creating this page. And I would like people to know about what she did.

I would also like lawyers like Monique to have a little more integrity, use a little more human compassion, and to think of things other than money. And I would like them to take teenagers's feelings and emotional needs a lot more seriously.
