Thanks for your presence at our first 3 Town Hall meetings!  So many great ideas and thoughts have been shared!  We have ONE more to come – next Thursday, Feb. 21st at 7:00 p.m., in the cafeteria!  PLEASE COME! 

Fish Fry News $$$ for this year:  The areas of the school to receive this year’s money include the cafeteria for the purchase of more tables and the classrooms for the purchase and installation of more SMART Boards.

Financial Tuition Aide Packets have arrived for the 2008-09 school year.  If you are interested in having a packet, please do not hesitate to contact Janet Eaton right away in order to meet all dealing specifications.

Take a Reading Road Trip! 

The book fair begins Sunday, February 24.  Volunteers are still needed.  Would you like to win a $5 gift certificate to the book fair?  Look for the Family Road Trip Trivia page in today’s folder.  Answer the questions and return to school.  All trivia sheets received by Friday, February 22nd will be entered into a drawing for the gift certificate.  Good luck!

2008-09 School Registration

Last week registration packets went home, however the SCRIP REGISTRATION FORM WAS LEFT OUT, PLEASE FIND IT ATTACHED HERE.  It too must be included in your registration packet.    Registration is the week of February 25th   Registration timelines for returning your packet are:  

Monday        2/25 – 2:30-4:00pm

Tuesday       2/26 -  7:00-8:30 am

Wednesday  2/27 – 7:00-8:00pm

Thursday      2/28 – 7:00-8:30am

 

The above registration times are ONLY for existing families in the school, not new families. 

 

 

AND HSO Obligations needs to be at $150.00 by week of 2/25/08.  If your account is not at this point, you will need to pay the difference before registering. THANK YOU

The Six Flags Reading Program student forms are due to your homeroom teacher this Friday, 2/15!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Orders forms are due in the office tomorrow!  Internet orders are due Monday at noon.  If you forget, call Michelle Kenny at 332-2685.  Market Day pick up is February 23rd.

JUST A REMINDER FOR PARENTS AND STUDENTS,  IF YOU WILL BE ARRIVING LATE  TO SCHOOL ANY DAY FROM AN APPOINTMENT OR OTHERWISE, PLEASE REMEMBER TO CALL IN YOUR LUNCH ORDER IF YOU WILL BE BUYING.  THE LUNCH LADIES NEED TO HAVE ALL LUNCH COUNTS IN NO LATER THAN 9AM!!!!!!!  WE CANNOT GUARANTEE AN ORDER PLACED AFTER THAT TIME.

ICD CHESS CLUB…

is entering a team in the USCF tournament at Westminster Christian High School (Ladue Rd) held on (Saturday) February 23rd.  If your child wants to participate in this event, please contact John Milburn (314-83... W or 636-92... H).  In years past, several ICD students have earned medals.

MARCH IS NUTRITION MONTH – We will be teaching nutrition to the students during the first week of March.  We will have some information coming home for activities related to nutrition for the whole family to participate in.  It is essential for parents to understand and support this for it to work fully.  Therefore, we are inviting parents in for a meeting about our presentations.  They are in the cafeteria as follows:   Tuesday, March 4 2-3pm

It’s Butter Braid & Pizza Time - Once again the 8th grade class will be selling Butter Braids just in time for the Easter holidays. Order forms are attached to this week’s newsletter.   This year they are also selling TJ Pizzas, frozen desserts, and cookie dough.  All money raised helps defray the cost of their Mystery Trip.

1)   Orders and payment are due back by Thursday, February 28th. 

2)  The pick-up date will be Monday, March 17 after school from 3:00 – 4:00 for both Butter Braids and TJ Pizzas. 

3)  One check may be written for all orders, made payable to ICD and placed in an envelope to Sandy Ohrman – 8th grade. 

4)   Please contact Sandy Ohrman at 625-3165 if you have any questions.
