Traveling is Important
How many times have you heard "education is important"? Well, I'd like to hear more people say "Traveling is important". I thought of this when Daniela said last night something like "of course education is important, but traveling is also important."
I would also like someone to teach young people about all the different religions around the world, and what damage religion has done to the human species, and I would like to see them teach young people about emotional literacy, invalidation, my ideas about respect etc. I realize that until others start teaching young people such things I will try to teach as many of them as I can.
Lately I have met lots of young people from many countries. I have had many good discussions. I have felt listened to and valued. It has been nice to see so many young people voluntarily want to spend time with me. I can feel something changing. I feel less resentful, less discouraged, less suicidal, more positive and inspired.
People like Daniela inspire me. Obama inspires me. I want to inspire others.
